Several dental assistants advise newly graduated dental assistants to not work at franchises?

such as "Comfort Dental" "Perfect Teeth", etc, but should rather work at private owning dental offices. Why is this? "Experienced" dental assistants say that such dental offices that are franchised do not treat their members well, and do not pay dental assistants as much as private owned dental offices. Is this true? What do you think?

I have heard the same thing. Ive never worked at a place like that however the doctor that I work with when she was a dental assistant she worked for a place like that. (she wanted to be a dentist at a place like that) She said doctors come and go they hardly ever stay. So you dont get paid very well because when a new doctor comes in they dont know how you work. Also she said they have a quota that they want to reach and if they dont they get mad at the staff for not working fast enough for them to do more work. Another thing she said is even if the patients dont need a crown the doctors will talk them into getting one.
