People get nervous when they go to dentist. Please let me know anything that I can improve the dental office. For example, better lighting, use aroma therapy to cover any smell from medicine, and more. Thank you!
What do you think a dental office should have, to make dentist visit a less unpleasant one?
Aroma Therapy is a good idea! Perhaps some headphones with their choice of music stations so they don't hear the drill as much. That's the part that always gets to me.
Reply:hookers
Reply:I think a tv or something above the patients head so they can try to focus on something else besides the drilling in their mouth.
Reply:I think you attitude should help tremendously, thanks. And also a dentist who isn't brutal or into it for the money.
Reply:good question! my dentist had a poster on the ceiling so you have smt to look at while the dentist is working in your mouth, it was a Where´s Wally poster so there´s so much to look at that it keeps you a little distracted!!
Reply:My dentist office (where I go) has flat screen tv's so the patients can watch while getting work done.
Reply:I know a dentist that has beverages in the waiting room for people and he gives blankets to them during the operation so they can feel more comfortable, or the aroma therapy sounds pretty good, make it seem home like... maybe these things may help?
Reply:Music of the patient's choosing while you're working on them and music for the waiting room to cover the drill. No one wants to hear that! Aroma therapy might work for some, but for those of us with a lot of allergies, it might be tormenting. Doesn't anyone use nitrous oxide anymore? That always relaxed me, but my old dentist stopped using it and my new dentist (I moved) doesn't use it either.
Reply:My office gives everyone sunglasses (to block the overhead light) and headphones. For nervous people, they can have a blanket. There are vintage movie posters on the walls and some people can focus on them and think about movies instead of teeth.
Reply:nicer dentists! mine is an asshole
Reply:a tv or video games
Reply:dental assistits with big boobs in bikinis
Reply:It helps out a lot to have a TV for each patient. It gives them something else to think about during an exam. It's best to let the patient choose what channel to watch, instead of the hygeinist watching something like the Tony Danza Show.
