I have been enquiring with The Gentle Dental Office who are are dedicated to treating patients with dental phobia, about my having treatment with them? Has anyone any knowledge of them or their treatment methods that they will share please?
Can anyone share information about The Gentle Dental Office?
you can be referred by your dentist to a clinic to have counselling before Any dental treatment - or referred to the hospital to have a general anaesthetic - to contact the dental council is a bit severe really - they normally deal with serious complaints about dentists.
Reply:Where is it based?
I went to one in Southbourne in Bournemouth called "gentle dentistry" and they were AMAZING!!!!
I hadnt gone for years because my last dentist was a butcher and terrified me. Then I got an abcess and I figured it was about time I went (ok, i nearly passed out with pain!)
Anyway, he fixed it up, no problem. Literally, I didnt feel a thing. And root canal surgery is really invasive but even when the drugs wore off, i didnt feel a thing, i couldnt have guessed id had it done except for the fact he'd cured my tooth ache.
Unfortuntely it cost me A LOT for that kind of service and i cant afford to go back! But my friend is scared and just books to always have some sort of super strength drug (have to be booked in advance and you then need someone with you for 24hours after but it does the job)
