What does a secretary in a dental office wear?

Regular clothes or scrubs?

What does a secretary in a dental office wear?
I think it would depend on what the dentist/boss wants uniform wise.
Reply:Whenever I go to a dentist office it seems that all visable employees wear the white coats. But, in the back rooms; billing department, insurance staff wear just their regular clothes (skirts, nice pants, casual suits).
Reply:Regular clothes. Professonal not casual. You have to represent the office.
Reply:Would imagine ordinary respectable clothes.Unless she has to assist the dentist, then nurses tunic
Reply:denim
Reply:Most medical offices that I have seen...the office staff...wear business casual. At my dentist office , the hygienists and dental assistants are the only ones that wear scrubs....I take that back...my hygienist usually wear a white "lab coat" with her regular clothes underneath (most of the time). My dentist does not wear scrubs either.

Business casual is the way to go....you can never fail with a pair of black slacks and a white button up shirt.
Reply:Whatever the doc says.Some care,some don't.It all depends.
Reply:For one thing, dental offices rarely have a position called "secretary". The non-clinical jobs are usually "receptionist", "financial coordinator", "treatment coordinator".....etc.

Some dental practices have dress codes and provide the back and front office staff with clothing, such as blazers and slacks. The majority have their clinical staff in either scrubs or slacks and lab coats, and the non-clinical in business attire - skirts or slacks and a nice shirt or jacket.

I personally think a well-dressed staff projects a more professional and confident feeling than overly casual attire.
